Alright, so me and Jonny are starting to get serious about planning this trip. We need to know who all wanted to go FOR SURE and will have enough money and such FOR SURE for the trip. A trip of this size needs LOTS of planning and all that.

We've been looking at some prices and here is a very rough idea of some things

Flights for there and back will probably put you out about 1500 to 2000 (weve found tickets around the 1400-1500 range though.
Accomodations, assuming about 50 bucks a night (could be as cheap as 15 (capsule) or 50/60 for more expensive stuff) that's about 1500.

So right there thats about 3000-3500.
We also havent looked into transportation costs, and food costs yet, but we will soon and get everybody up to date.

As far as I can tell this is looking to be about a 5-7 grand trip. After all the initial costs there is still the money you will spend on random stuff you want. (clothes, things, ladies)

So again, Id like to know who WILL be coming with us. Also if anybody has also done any research and can offer money saving tips, we would REALLY appreciate it.

Also, for the people coming, let us know what you would like to visit, what you would like to do, where you would like to go, etc. This way we can plan something and figure out transport costs.

I havent really been posting mine (and mnemosyne) music here, but I think I need to do it with this one.

Me and Darren worked on this untill about 2 in the morning last night (about 6-8 hours of total work) and the end result is just amazing.

The artist Lia (featured in the Enigmatic albums, and a crap load of other stuff), made a song called "Earth". On one of the Enigmatic albums, she put the acapella for that song on there. So me and darren took the vocals, and made a completely original song out of them.

The song is in the J-Core genre. It has really great melodies, some awesome drumwork, and some cool vocal effects. The singing is again, Lia (great singer).

So I really hope you enjoy this track, and I would love to know what you think.

Enjoy

So as some of you know, both me and darren make electronica. For a while now we've been wanting to collab and make something together, well that time has finally come.

DJ MesoPhunk and DJ SymBiotiX combine to become Mnemosyne. With a fresh mix of trance and hardcore elements, Mnemosyne will take you to amazing places.

We spent the whole day yesterday working on our first collaboration. We decided to remix the song You're Not Alone by Olive. We took the original vocals and freshened them up with some great trance elements and a driving beat. You will notice there is no hardcore in this song as we decided to take a trancy direction, but in the future you should expect a really great mashup of both genres.

Mnemosyne - You're Not Alone (The Creation Mix)

The name "The Creation Mix" symbolizes the creation of Mnemosyne. You should expect alot more great tracks from us.

I really hope you enjoy this, and let me know what you guys think. I think this is the creation of a great musical duo.

So I'm in this class (Real-Time Systems) where we had to make some sort of project out of an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array... if you dont know what that means either google it, or it might be a little too computer sciency for you :P). Well it was due on sunday, and I have posted a video of what I ended up getting accomplished. (I made a synthesizer)

All in all.. it was a pretty fun project. I just wish I had more time cause I know I could have made it way better.

Either way, enjoy :P

So Im not sure how many people have watched it, but I randomly got a hankering for a Deth Note Spankering the other day. So I downloaded it, and I just finished the series.

Seriously... wow. Now Ive only watched a few animes in my day but.. this one was definitely one of my favorites. It just had so much of what I like. I just absolutely love it when its a game of who can predict who, and this is exactly what it was all about. I loved every minute of it.

The ending. Beautiful, though I was definitely expecting something else, but now that I think of it, there couldnt have been a different ending, everything just fit so nicely. Its kinda like "wtf... I didnt think that would happen" untill the last few lines in the anime, and its like "oh yea...it couldnt have ended any differently"

haha so anyways, to anybody that hasnt seen it, I suggest you do. ITs only 37 episodes, but it was soo awesome.

So, lately ive been getting this bad hankering to get better at playing the piano (you know live... and not just sequencing stuff). So I've been doing random improvisations here and there, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of improving stuff. Anyways, I decided to record one today, and I think it turned out quite well (a few small pauses while I was trying to figure out chords and the such, but flows quite well).

Anyways, if anyof you have any comments or criticisms, I'd love to hear em :D.

I just have to find somebody who is skilled at making BMS's, and render like a million files to make it keysounded....

oh yea.. I gotta finish the song as well.

Anyways, new demo for my cd. Its a SWEET ASS remix of splash beats!.

Me and a few people agree that this would make an AWESOME BMS file. Then I have to come up with some crazy plan to get it in to IIDX. (Looks like I'm 3 styles too late :P)

What do you guys think?

So like, in the past month or so, me and Thomas have been talking on facebook. I asked him if I could remix one of the songs that he has here http://www.reverbnation.com/controller/audio_player/detachable_player/artist_84335?autoPlay=true and he said yes. I decided to remix this is now, I just started tonight, and its going in an "interesting" direction. I'm hoping to get a good amount of polish in to this one, I wanna make it sweet :P. If you wanna listen to what I have so far here is a link.

Note: This is like my very first draft, so alot of elements are clashing (frequency wise)

So yesterday when me,po,pyko, and sami went to wpg beach for the tournie. We all met up at KP. I decided to go check HMV to see if they had the cd "This Binary Universe" by "BT". Luckily they did.

There are only 7 tracks, but each track is around 10 minutes long.

The music on this cd can only be explained as Abstract, beautiful creations.

I really dont know how to properly describe the style, nor can I compare it to anything. Its just so unique.

I recommend anybody who is willing to try something new to go buy this cd.

Seriously, its amazing.

Alright guys. So basically I'm going to take a big break from releasing music for abour 4 months or so. I have about 4 projects in the works that I'm going to be working really really hard on.

The first one is that Trance megamix album that I'm making. Hopefully it will be about 1.5 hours if I can get enough songs in. (or if that much music will fit on a cd :D)

The Second project is my follow up album to act 1. It will be called "Act 2: ???" and some kind of cool subtitle like "Act 2: The return of DJ SymBiotiX" :P. Ive almost finished 2 songs for this album. I have about 90% of the intro finished (Its called "My World (Intro)" hehe sami and mike will find that amuzing). I have the outro almost finished as well, about 70%, that one is called "Goodbye (Outro)". The intro is breakbeat/trance/chillout, and the outro is chillout/trance. I have also decided to do some live recording with my keyboard into reason, this gives it that human touch, but uh oh... EVERYTHING WONT BE IN PERFECT SYNC!! AHHH!!... now how are people gonna make stepfiles :P. haha. I'm all about the good music, not the stepfiles :P. I did it with the last half of the intro and it sounds awesome that way.

The third project is another album entitled "The Rising Of D-Latch" or something like that. It will be a full length album and feature music by my other alias (basically D&B, Gabba (Hopefully), Hardcore, Hardstyle etc. Basically harder and faster music. Lots of 12th notes :D) I havent finished anything for that yet, but I have alot to do :D.

The last project I am working on is kind of a portfollio. I want to make a bunch of RPG type songs basically as a portfollio incase I ever meet somebody in the gaming industry. I have the ideas for one song almost finished, you can listen to it here. Its a haunted forest type song. Its kind of repetitive right now, but its pretty much a background song. I'll end up adding more stuff to it later. I am going to be making "safe" and "danger" states for each song. Which means when there are no enemies it would play the safe state song, but when there are enemies it would crossfade in to the danger state version.

Yup thats about it..I have a few songs that I will release beforehand (I uploaded them, but havent really announced them) so I'll make that another post one of these days.

I plan on releasing the first 3 cd's all at once, or one per month (once they are all finished). They will all be free for download, but if somebody wants to pay for a physical copy I would produce one for them.

Yup.. so thats about it. I am really excited and looking forward to all of this, and I hope you are too :D. This is going to be freaking awesome.

So Ive talked to like 1 person that mixes (matt). He tells me he would never mix with a song in 7/4, which is what makes this awesome. I'm trying to go outside the box when it comes to making these trance songs for my next cd, and this is definitely one step in the right direction.

The funny thing about this song is that it just randomly came to me. I was practicing my piano, with the occasional fooling around in the middle, and I made up another melody. I then realized it was in 7/4 and I just had to run to my computer to put it in there. That night, I finished up the main ideas for this song. It ended up being 6:53 which is perfect for what I want.

anyways, here is a little preview :D

DJ SymBiotiX - VII IV

Well, ive been doing some thinking and Ive been getting really inspired lately. This lets me conclude that my 2nd album isnt too far off. Ive been really getting in to the trance structure, and what makes a good trance song, and what makes it good for mixing.

This has caused me to start making a whole bunch of trance songs. Right now I have about 5 in the works, and I think I can finish 3 in a week or 2.

Anyways, this leads me to my next album. I'm going to keep most of them under lockdown untill I release. It will be a free downloadable album.

The cool thing here is that it is going to be comprised of all trance songs, and Ive asked Matt (aberation theory), sami, and I'll ask mike as well, if they can mix all the songs in to one long mix. (continuous track separated play). Matt and sami already said they would give it a shot once the time comes, and I'm sure mike will as well. The reason for this is because I want to see some different styles of mixing, and how they decide to place the tracks (which tracks mix with which). It will be interesting.

Anyways, yes that is my idea.

Songs I know I'll have so far

*Code name songs dont have a name yet.. this is just the name it has now for future reference*

1. Pero Feat. DJ Vital - My Lovely Shadow (DJ SymBiotiX Midnight Flight Mix)
2. DJ SymBiotiX - Radiant Sky (Till The Break Of Dawn Mix) *I really gotta fix this one up <_< and finish it*
3. DJ SymBiotiX - Generic Trance (Code Name)
4. DJ SymBiotiX - Progressive Trance (Code Name)
5. DJ SymBiotiX & Cardinality & Lemniscate - CardniScateBX (Code Name)

I'm getting really excited for this, and I just cant wait untill I finish :D
